Kit's Challenge Response: BUG-EYED MONSTER!

Bug-Eyed Monster Challenge, For Kit and Elaine's Creative Challenge Blog: http://kitandelaine.blogspot.com/

As you can probably tell, I had a lot of fun with this one. :)

This is Bem, my Bug-Eyed Monster. Bem and his different mouths were created with Prismacolor markers, and then scanned and animated in Photoshop and Imageready. Still just practicing basic animation techniques, but I have something a little more elaborate planned for Bem in the future.

Kit's Challenge Response: SCARY FOREST!

I wanted to do something with color this time, but I still started later than I should have, so I decided not to go with a traditional scary forest idea. I'm much better with creatures than I am with scenery, especially when I'm pressed for time, so I created a scary beast with a forest growing out of his back. I drew him in pencil and then outlined in ink, with Prismacolor markers used for the rendering. I'm pretty satisfied with him, and I'm glad I'm not just posting another sketch again.

Kit's Challenge Result: BIRD GIRL!

Just another quick sketch. I was going to try to do more with this one, but I ended up wasting time yesterday. She looks kind of Egyptian relief art style.

I have a lot of practice drawing dragons, so I took the sea serpent route for this challenge. I call him Bogg.
