Kit's Challenge Response: OLD WOMAN WHO LIVED IN A SHOE!

I made this in Photoshop. I'm going to use the excuse that I spent the past few days working on the Bug-Eyed Monster update (the movie I posted yesterday), and that's how I will account for the quality on this one. The thing is, I got even lazier toward the end and copy/pasted the pickles from the internet rather than drawing a stick figure version of them like I did for the rest of the image, so I'm a little shamido about that.

Update: BUG-EYED MONSTER

I told you I was going to do something else with my bug-eyed monster challenge guy! Here's Bem singing the classic song, Mini Donuts in a Tree.

Kit's Challenge Response: DUCK DUCK GOOSE!

Just a quick sketch this time. I did want to do something more, but serious procrastination got in the way, so I ended up doing it last minute.

Kit's Challenge Response: BUG-EYED MONSTER!

Bug-Eyed Monster Challenge, For Kit and Elaine's Creative Challenge Blog: http://kitandelaine.blogspot.com/

As you can probably tell, I had a lot of fun with this one. :)

This is Bem, my Bug-Eyed Monster. Bem and his different mouths were created with Prismacolor markers, and then scanned and animated in Photoshop and Imageready. Still just practicing basic animation techniques, but I have something a little more elaborate planned for Bem in the future.

Kit's Challenge Response: THE FUTURE!

THE FUTURE

I made a gif! I do picture everyone living in giant pods like these in the future, because we've either used up all the land, or devastated it completely. I'm trying to practice animation so that I can make little cartoons of some of my characters, so that's what I've done with this challenge. Hopefully I'll be able to improve, and work on longer projects in THE FUTURE!

Kit's Challenge Response: SCARY FOREST!

I wanted to do something with color this time, but I still started later than I should have, so I decided not to go with a traditional scary forest idea. I'm much better with creatures than I am with scenery, especially when I'm pressed for time, so I created a scary beast with a forest growing out of his back. I drew him in pencil and then outlined in ink, with Prismacolor markers used for the rendering. I'm pretty satisfied with him, and I'm glad I'm not just posting another sketch again.

Kit's Challenge Result: BIRD GIRL!

Just another quick sketch. I was going to try to do more with this one, but I ended up wasting time yesterday. She looks kind of Egyptian relief art style.

Kit's Challenge Result: HONG KONG HIGH RISE!

Okay, I'm absolute shite when it comes to drawing buildings, or pretty much anything composed of straight lines and angles, and this particular building had a lot of those! I found the image of this building by putting the challenge subject in a Google image search. It's not a fantastic sketch, but it's the first time in a long time that I've even attempted to draw an architectural structure, so there's that. One of the points of this challenge is practice. :)

Kit's Challenge Result: SEA MONSTER!

I have a lot of practice drawing dragons, so I took the sea serpent route for this challenge. I call him Bogg.
